The Garden
By Sharon Riddle
Each year there comes a garden for me to tend each day
To plant, to weed, to water and to nurture in some way.
Some years it's kind of obvious there's just more work to do.
The weeds have overrun the beauty of the view.
But if the Master Gardner helps me tend each vine
He will show me what to prune and how to steer them so they'll climb.
Though every bloom is different and some more challenging to sow
Each flower brings me pleasure as each day I watch them grow.
So you'll find me in the garden though I weary in the sun
As I seek to uncover the beauty of each one.
